Because it's new and the rubber is firm, it is perticular about where you place the sunglasses. If you don't get them in just the right place it won't close.

These are really handy clips to hold your sunglasses on the visor. I was always losing or breaking my glasses until I got these. Love the different colors too. For the price a great product.

I bought these to replace a similar product called "The Cricket," which did a great job holding sunglasses and releasing them with a single push of a button. The Cricket eventually fell apart. Sadly, this replacement is of even more flimsy construction. It takes two hands to release the glasses, making it next to useless (and dangerous) while driving.
